I’m 13 and I just read the book. Loved it. Asked if I could watch the movie, parents answer was.

2020…. Anyone seeing any parallels as to what's happening today? We were all just regular Americans pre 3-2020. Now were being violently pitted against one another. Burn. Loot, Murder….and it's all being televised for our entertainment, and to keep us in fear of it happening close to home.

My interpretation of the kissing scene: well created Mary Sue kisses pathetic average-looking betta male ,while hunky generic alpha male childhood friend watches depressed, for no reason at all except to progress the plot
