  • this guy's wrong, dead wrong, YOU CAN'T earn everything by just playing, there's a thing called hall of trophies that you NEED to complete if you wanna be effective for endgame, and if you don't pay you will never complete it .
so you'll be lucky if you find people to carry you through distortions and 10 man avatars.
don't waste your time with this game unless you're ready to spend a ton of money to progress.

  • Man… There uses to be so much more to this game when it was in beta. A little too much in terms of needed resources imo, but it felt so good to play. I tried getting back into it and it was so dumbed down its not even the same game anymore. The original progression system was so much fun, and being able to visit your statue and see followers around it, everything used to feel so much more involved, real, epic, and important. Thus game really fell off when they overhauled everything.

  • just returned to Skyforge and I gotta say the disappointment hit me hard. I started a new account on PS4, and I'd be willing to forgive some of the changes, but the fact that unlocking new classes requires paying money or endless grinding is just sad…
I've played the game in early beta, by the time I got god form I'm pretty sure I had all the classes unlocked. I'm kinda glad to see the ressurgance of interest for the game in 2020, maybe the devs will do something with the state of it

  • I used to play this game a couple years back and I was even a veteran, In short, the game developers made a transition from trying to get enough players to strictly pay to win aspects. We all left. Now u can't even do Ophelia

  • It was refreshing to see a review that wasn't just paid for by skyforge themselves and actually went into some of the major issues of the game. Even now at the start of october all of these issues still exist. It definitely doesn't help that with every major update they seem to scale up the difficulty of most open areas.

  • Skyforge is still a good game in my opinion. I have been playing since Open Beta and have seen a lot of changes over that time. One of the things I enjoyed is grinding out my progression. Over the years I have taken a number of breaks from the game, but my goal was always BASE might. Now that my progression is largely done and I can maintain season to season (I can even take a break for several months with little impact), I focus on the various equipment builds. I think this is an incredibly fun aspect to the game, and finding other people who are like minded in testing PvE builds leads to an overall great experience for me.

Yes, you will have to shell out some money for legendary weapons. I recommend this now with the present cash shop if you have a few weeks to spare you can hold out for the one you want. It was pretty tough before when RNG was involved–and you ended up spending more than what you wanted.

Queuing for groups is just not how its done. We build our groups in chat, and NA has less population than the EU or RU servers so it is inconvenient. Although PVP is very unbalanced, it is the best way to get equipment for new players after finishing the "yellow brick road," just make sure you que during happy hour.

If you are a new player, join a Pantheon (guild) like Legion of Archangels(NA) (the one I am in) there are a number of players who would be happy to help you in your progression.

  • Awesome job on the review! I just started the game today. Honestly P2W used to bother me a lot, but lesser over the years since i used to have time but no money. Now I have money and no time. Is it bad that I kinda think it's ok to p2w for people who dont have time to grind in MMO's..?

  • I'm not entirely sure if it could be considered as such, but I believe Warframe is a great sci-fi mmorpg. It's free and it's amazingly well developed for a free non-AAA game. You should take a look at it. 🙂

  • It's called dorkforge for a reason. No new nothing, trash scaling especially when you're like 10 levels higher than the enemy but doing like zero damage and dying in 2 hits, pay to win bs, and those same bums that defends this buggy piece of shit. Started 2017 xbox and that's when people were able to solo an distortion. Game already boring, might as well kept it that way. Only thing that needs more players to do is avatars. Need to take mmo off the title, see the same people in hub every time.

  • Playing free right now. Actually having fun even though im weak as hell. Only plan on playing for 12 days though just to bide time till Genshin Impact. The p2w is actually hilarious in this game and makes me feel way better about wanting to play gachas lmao.

  • this game is a shame, I played in 2014 it was amazing, less p2w, beginner friendly, very customizable specially with builds we had variety of skills like path of exile, there was a weekly limit to grind and bonus for afk time, then ascension update came and the game died, it basically became a mobile game

    Amazing video tho

  • Hello ! I have spent more than 2000 euros on this game from about 2016 to 2018 and i really regret it ,because i dont play it anymore because the games is dead ,player base is really low and i know them all already it really sucks, its like a small town where you live where you know everyone and no one likes you. lol haha ,well… now i play cs go and i try other games ,but really, i could have invested in a better pc but i just wasted my money on this cashgrab game. 🙁 btw nice video man! i enjoyed it XD
