In my experience, a good counter to Nunu mid is Anivia. She made the Nunu on my team completely worthless. Her wall stops the engage and her R gives some of the best waveclear in the game. This not only denies dives (along with her passive), but also means Nunu is getting heavily punished for roaming. Moreover, she has great teamfight control and scales well.
i always play Ashe now when they put me as ADC and i still pick Triforce+Reaver for her bec. of 40% CD…. my ULT is OP

Of course I might be wrong here… but for me that looks like a support item, which is cheaper and gives the same and a support item witht he same price, which gives the same mana reg.
The passive also just gives health reg, so no mana reg from there. So saying that they buy it for the mana reg seems like pure rubbish.^^
They buy it, because it gives their ADC (and hence themself) a get out of jail for free card. The only chance to kill Yuumi+strong ADC is to engage on them and kill them. With Mikael's you take away that possibility for many supports (like Leona). Hence you can't get engaged on, which is incredible powerful. But the reason is not the mana reg. (correct me if I am wrong)
Also it strengthens your heals more than any other support item. Every E will heal for 10% more than with any other item. (just the more expensive Ardent can do the same with the additional AP).
So you can heal the same for around 10% less mana costs, which synergizes well with the instant mana reg from presence of mind, as you can spam more heals in a fight, while mana reg alone does not help you to sustain high mana in a short fight.
Tl;dr: It is used because you want few strong heals and not sustain mana over a longer time (what mana reg is for), so it is basically the opposite of what you said.

None of these are new. The Yuumi one is sort of new and the Nunu one was new last patch so that's fair to put here. The Ashe patch is just the ADC meta the last two patches, if you wanted to do a new build it'd have to be IE Runaans Ashe. Sion building Locket is a little weird but it just seems like an alternative than a new build. Vi's has literally been meta since the rework for HoB. Anivia not taking Tear is okay but also feels like low hanging fruit as most Seraphs builds aside from Cass who has an extra item slot and doesn't by boots have forgone it.
I feel like whenever this guy is in charge of narrating the video, the information feels less meaningful and/or directed toward silver elo

I go knights vow on yummi. I havent tested it in too many games but so far its been pretty good when my adc is ahead
